Our Team
Horsetooth Design LLC was founded by Felix Wong in 2006 after he worked as an engineer in Silicon Valley for seven years. An avid ultra-distance cyclist (he was one of the first to time-trial north-south and west-east across the U.S. self-supported), he is equally passionate about mechanical design. His mission is to assist individuals and companies to bring unique, innovative, and life-enhancing products to market and help make the world a better place.

Trunk Locks
We modeled this in SOLIDWORKS for Trunk Locks LLC, which invented the device to easily lock a bicycle to a car.
Ball Shifter
We rendered this ball shifter linkage in Autodesk Fusion 360, one of our preferred 3D CAD packages.
Robot Lift
We engineered all black powdercoated parts in this photo to help technicians safely maneuver a 90-lb. robot into semiconductor manufacturing equipment. Iron weights were used to verify factor of safety and confirm our FEA results.
Aerobar Phone Mount
We created this smartphone mount for bicycle aerobars using Autodesk Fusion 360 and a 3D printer.
Cart
In designing this cart, we performed an overturning analysis to ensure safety for the intended user.
Bicycle Rack
We designed this foldable, single-bolt custom bicycle carrier for a vintage MGB roadster using 6061-T6 aluminum.
Ticket Kiosks
We designed every sheetmetal part from scratch for these kiosks and deployed them at a theme park in California.
Cart
In designing this custom cart, we performed a stress analysis using the finite elements method to confirm it could carry the required load with an adequate factor of safety.
